To celebrate the release of the Blu-ray and DVD of “Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle at the Dump,” Tower Records will be holding a “NO ANIME, NO LIFE” project at all Tower Records stores and Tower Records Online. The project will be held for a limited time from October 29, 2024, the day before the release date, to November 11, 2024, with collaboration posters being displayed at all stores, original bonus gifts, a chance to win a poster with a handwritten autograph, and a collaboration cafe to promote the work.
“Haikyu!!” was serialized in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump” from February 2012 to July 2020, and is a monumental sports manga by Haruichi Furudate that gained popularity for its passionate youth drama about high school students who are devoted to volleyball. The TV anime began broadcasting on the Mainichi Broadcasting System and TBS affiliates in 2014, and became a hugely popular series that captivated many fans and viewers up until the fourth season, “Haikyu!! TO THE TOP.”
“Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle at the Dump” is the first of the two-part movie FINAL series, depicting one of the most popular episodes in the original work, the third round of the Spring High Tournament, commonly known as the “Battle at the Dump,” between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School. It was released on February 16, 2024, and was a huge hit, grossing over 11.2 billion yen.
To promote this work, “Haikyu!! x NO ANIME, NO LIFE.” will have collaboration posters displayed at all Tower Records stores during the period. In addition, Hinata Shoyo (CV. Murase Ayumu) and Kozume Kenma (CV. Kaji Yuki) will be in charge of the announcements that will be played in the store when the store opens.
In addition, customers who purchase the Blu-ray and DVD of “Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle at the Dump” will receive a special receipt if they purchase in-store, and will receive an original Tower Records bonus “A4 clear file with original artwork” on a first-come, first-served basis. Tower Records’ bonuses also include an “original storage box” available exclusively online, and a “NO ANIME, NO LIFE. B2 collaboration poster with original artwork” available for early reservations made by September 15th.
