The second collaboration collection between “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” and accessory brand “JIMMY CHOO” has arrived. It will be available at limited stores and online stores around the world from October 9, 2024, and pop-ups will also be held at Isetan Shinjuku and Hankyu Umeda Main Store.
“Sailor Moon” is a shojo manga by Naoko Takeuchi that began serialization in the monthly magazine “Nakayoshi” in 1991. The original book has been translated into 17 languages, and the animated series has been broadcast in over 40 countries, becoming a social phenomenon both in Japan and overseas.
In 2012, a new project was launched, and a wide range of developments were made as part of the 30th anniversary project, including the complete original version, paperback edition, e-book, new animation, musicals, merchandising, fan clubs, and official stores. In 2023, the movie “Sailor Moon Cosmos,” the final chapter of the series, was released.
This second installment of the “JIMMY CHOO × PRETTY GUARDIAN SAILOR MOON Collection” follows the first installment in February 2023. The
main theme of the collection is the story of how the Sailor Soldiers save the world with the superpowers they unleash when they come together, and it expresses the evolution of the girls, guided by the idea of undergoing a new transformation through their unique personalities, style, heart and friendship.
The inspiration for the five main footwear designs spotlights new characters from the previous collection, including Sailor Chibi Moon (Chibiusa), Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn.
Sailor Chibi Moon is rendered in the signature nappa leather knee-high boots with a baby pink platform sole, 12cm heel, metal heart buckle at the vamp and white trim on the topline and welt.
These ankle boots are in Sailor Uranus’ signature blue and feature a striking lacquered drop heel.
Sailor Neptune is depicted in emerald green high-heeled pumps with crystals studded on the pointed vamp and velvet ribbon at the ankle.
Sailor Pluto’s boots are high heel boots made of navy black nappa leather with white trim. They feature a square toe and 9.5cm block heel, and the back ankle part is decorated with Sailor Pluto’s signature ribbon and heart emblem. The burgundy velvet ribbon with crystals adds a cute design.
Sailor Saturn’s boots are made of technical knit and feature a 5cm drop heel lace-up boot.
The sole of each style features the emblem of each Sailor Guardian Star mark, giving the design a unique feel.
MARLOW MOCCASINS come in two varieties: Super Sailor Moon and Luna.
The Super Sailor Moon shoes are dyed in the signature color and feature holographic crystals for an extraordinarily glamorous finish. They are also attractive with their velvet ribbons and thick soles with diamond motifs.
The Luna shoes feature the Luna emblem on the vamp. The shoes are studded with black glitter to represent Luna, the black cat.
The mini bags, based on Chibi-Usa’s Luna P Ball motif, are available in two types: smooth resin and crystal-studded. Additionally
, a soft and playful leather crossbody bag has been released in the shape of Luna.
Other footwear and accessories are inspired by the original manga by Naoko Takeuchi, with the entire item being a canvas. Each scene is chosen to represent an important moment in the Sailor Moon story, such as when each Sailor Guardian exerts their powers, when Super Sailor Moon appears, or when the world is saved.
The DIAMOND TOTE comes in two sizes and is available as a card holder, smartphone case, Air Pods case, scarf, and in two colors: black and white, and a vibrant multicolor.
PALMA MAXIは、セーラー戦士それぞれのシグネチャーカラーを融合させたカラーとブラック＆ホワイトの2種類が登場。
AVENUE VANITY BAGには、アイテムごとにセーラー戦士それぞれを象徴するカラーで描かれている。
また、今回のコラボレーションを記念し、アイテム1点につき1パック以上の限定デザインコレクターカードがプレゼントされる。
10戦士それぞれのデザインをはじめとした12種類のカードと、同じデザインのレアバージョンを含めた計24種類だ。クリスタルバッグには4パック、シューズとバッグにはアイテムごとに2パック、スモールレザーグッズやスカーフなどには1パック付属する。
「JIMMY CHOO × PRETTY GUARDIAN SAILOR MOONコレクション」は、10月9日から世界各国の限定店舗、オンラインストアで発売開始。伊勢丹新宿店、阪急うめだ本店や、中国上海のIAPM、中国成都のTKL、香港のHarbour City、フランスパリのプランタンではポップアップも開催される。
