“Oshi no Ko” is a TV anime based on the manga that depicts the entertainment world from a completely new perspective, created by the luxurious team of Akasaka Aka and Yokoyari Mengo, which has been serialized in “Weekly Young Jump” and has exceeded 18 million copies in total circulation. One day, Goro, an obstetrician-gynecologist working in a provincial city, has a “terrible” encounter with Ai, an idol of his “oshi” (favorite) “B Komachi”, who has a forbidden secret, and his fate begins to move.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, creating a buzz. The second season, which depicts the story of Aqua, Kana Arima, and Akane Kurokawa, who have been confirmed to appear in the 2.5-dimensional stage adaptation of the work “Tokyo Blade,” began airing in July 2024.
The decision to produce a third season was announced after the final episode of the second season was broadcast on October 6th. In the teaser video, famous scenes from each character in the second season are played back to the tune of B-Komachi’s new song “POP IN 2”, and at the end, a visual announcing the production of the third season is shown, with a black glowing star lighting up Ruby’s eyes after learning of Goro’s death.
