The synopsis and preview cuts from episode 2, “The Blue Bird,” of the fall anime “The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL,” which will air on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, have been released.
“The New Prince of Tennis” is an anime based on the tennis manga currently being serialized in Jump Square by Takeshi Konomi as a sequel to “The Prince of Tennis”. The original comics of the series have sold over 60 million copies in total, and have been loved by many fans for over 20 years, with TV anime adaptations, events, and theatrical releases.
The anime series “The Prince of Tennis”, which began airing in 2001, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. In July 2022, “The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP” will be broadcast as the first TV series in 10 years, depicting the story that follows on from the OVA series “The New Prince of Tennis OVA vs Genius10” released in 2014.
Episode 2 “Blue Bird” Synopsis
The first match of the semi-finals, S3 (singles three). Japan is a demon. On the other hand, Germany has Q.P., the No. 2 team.
Both players hit shots with impeccable accuracy, and even in the power contest, neither player gives an inch. While the powerful demon approaches with overwhelming force, Q.P., who sees the cheers from the crowd as noise and warns the referee, has a play style that can be described as cold-hearted.
The origins of this can be found in his childhood when he started playing tennis.
The second episode of “The New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL”, “The Blue Bird”, will begin airing on TV Tokyo and other channels on Wednesday, October 9th.
