New Christmas-themed goods have been released from “Rilakkuma” and “Sumikko Gurashi.” These are the Rilakkuma “Ornament Christmas” and “Sumikko Gurashi at Home Christmas.”

“Rilakkuma” is a bear mascot who is always relaxed and at his own pace. He lives with the mischievous Korilakkuma and the hardworking Kiiroitori, and is good friends with Chai-roikoguma and his friends who live in the Honey Forest. The loose and cute stories that Rilakkuma and friends unfold will bring you a little time of healing, kindness, and laughter.
“Sumikko Gurashi” is popular for its worldview of slightly negative but unique characters with the theme “Being in a corner somehow makes you feel calm.” The first animated film, “Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: The Pop-up Picture Book and the Secret Child,” was released in 2019, the second film, “Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: The Magical Child of a Blue Moonlit Night,” was released in 2021, and the third film, “Sumikko Gurashi the Movie: The Mysterious Child of the Patchwork Factory,” was released in 2023.
This time, Rilakkuma will be introducing an “Ornament Christmas” theme, which will include six types of “mini plush toys” with classic Christmas motifs such as Santa Claus and socks, as well as “tapestries” with hook-and-loop fasteners that can be used for decoration.
In the “Tenori Plushie” series, Cocoa Rabbit will be appearing as Santa Claus to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Korilakkuma. He will be celebrating Christmas with Rilakkuma, Kiiroitori and friends.
Meanwhile, “Sumikko Gurashi” has transformed the Sumikko characters into Christmas motifs for “Sumikko Christmas at Home.” In addition to “Polar Bear” as a reindeer, “Penguin?” as a tree, and “Cat” as a cupcake, there are six kinds of “hand-held stuffed toys” available.
Furthermore, the “Nakayoshi Nori Plush Toy” comes in a special chicken set with teriyaki chicken topped with “tonkatsu” and fried chicken topped with “fried shrimp tails”, creating a Christmas Eve atmosphere.
Each item will be available at retailers and online shops nationwide from early November.
