“The Misunderstood Workshop Owner: A Common Story About How a Former Errand Boy from a Hero’s Party Actually Had SSS Ranks in Everything Other Than Combat,” which began serialization online in August 2018, has been renamed and made into a book.
The story begins when a young boy named Kurt, who is actually “SSS-ranked, the highest aptitude in all areas except combat,” is fired from the hero party because he is “useless.” The key point is that
he is unaware of his own incredible talent, which seems impossible for a human to achieve, and his unconscious actions drag those around him down, saving people, towns, and even countries. It is a slapstick fantasy work full of misunderstandings.
This time, it has been decided that this work will be made into a TV anime. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual featuring the three main characters Kurt, Yurishia, and Lieselotte was released.
In one scene, the two heroines are peering at Kurt who is holding a magic crystal. While Kurt acts completely calm as if it’s the most natural thing in the world, Yurishia has a look of surprise on her face, while Liselotte has an expression of mixed admiration for Kurt. The visuals bring out the personalities of each character.
At the same time, a teaser PV was also unveiled, offering a glimpse into the slapstick fantasy full of misunderstandings. It acts as an introduction to the work, with numerous scenes unfolding.
Not only is it the first time that footage from the anime has been shown, but the voices of the three characters, Kurt, Yurishia, and Lieselotte, can also be heard in this video.
As for the voice cast, it was revealed that Mikako Komatsu will play the main character Kurt, who was kicked out of the hero party “Flaming Dragon Fang” because he had no aptitude for combat.
Kurt is actually a super genius with SSS ranks for all aptitudes except for combat, but he is unaware of this and mistakenly thinks it’s “a common story.” His full name is Kurt Lockhans.
Furthermore, Seto Masami plays Eurycia, a former adventurer under the direct control of the royal family who, because she is a common sense person, is constantly at the mercy of Kurt’s misunderstandings. She is a hard worker who stands up to protect Kurt.
Minami Tanaka plays the role of Liselotte, the third princess of the Kingdom of Homulos. Her life is threatened and she is cursed with a fatal curse, but she is in love with Kurt, who heals her. Her nickname is Lise, and her full name is Liselotte Homulos.
