“Venom: The Last Dance” is the final chapter of the hit film series “Venom,” which has been loved around the world for its unique character with two personalities in one body. The collaboration with this work is the TV anime “Yuki Bakuhatsu Burn Brave Burn.” The original robot anime, planned by Cygames and directed by Masami Obari, a master of the robot world who has been involved in a wide range of works, was broadcast for a total of 12 episodes from January to March 2024.
Distinguishing itself from conventional robot anime, the story has become a hot topic among anime fans for its dramatic alternation between serious and comedic tempos. Set in the near future, where the humanoid armored weapon Titanostride (TS) has been developed, TS pilot Isami Ao of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force encounters a mysterious humanoid robot Braeburn in the middle of a battle. From then on, he must fight against the Death Drives, an alien enemy that has invaded Earth. Isami is no mere robot, but Braeburn has a will of his own, and as they deepen their bond as a unique buddy team of human and robot, they face off in the fierce battles that unfold.
In this collaboration, Braeburn has stepped up as a powerful ally to support Venom as he faces a fierce battle.
The human-robot buddy duo Isami and Braeburn have a lot in common with the unique buddy movie “Venom” between the human Eddie and the extraterrestrial symbiote. As Venom faces the biggest crisis in the series, Braeburn, who cannot help but feel that this is his problem, joins the battle as a powerful reinforcement.
The released mission video begins with a scene in which 3rd Class Lieutenant Isami Ao (voiced by Ryota Suzuki) is urged by CIA intelligence analyst Bob Craib (voiced by Cho) to talk about Venom. As Isami, who knows nothing, is unable to answer, Bob simply shows him footage from the “Venom” series.
“What’s going on all this time? What is this video!?” Isami is confused, and Braeburn (CV: Kenichi Suzuki) appears and reveals that the mission was actually to promote the movie “Venom: The Last Dance.” Not understanding what’s going on, Isami is eventually shown the trailer for the movie, and is forced to take the “Venom” series. In the end, he decides to go to the cinema with Braeburn to see “Venom: The Last Dance.”
Not only does it feature newly recorded voices from each cast member, but it also features the title call of the film “Venom: The Last Dance” set to the melody of the theme song “Ba-ba-ba-ba! Burn Braeburn,” making this footage exclusive to this collaboration a must-see.
In addition, as a follow-up to this video, a collaborative visual was also released, depicting Isami and Braeburn together with Lewis Smith and Lulu watching the recently world premiere of “Venom: The Last Dance.” The original illustration shows them enjoying themselves at the cinema wearing their favorite “Venom” goods. From their reactions, it is clear to see whether they are watching a fierce battle or a touching farewell… the visuals encourage imagination.
The final chapter of the “Venom” film series, “Venom: The Last Dance,” will be released nationwide on November 1, 2024.
