What is your favorite “Tanuki” character? Survey deadline is November 3rd

November 8th is “Shigaraki Tanuki Day.”
This is a commemorative day established by the Tourism Association of Shigaraki Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, the birthplace of Shigaraki ware.

Tanuki, an animal native to Japan, have been familiar to people for many years, appearing in fairy tales and proverbs. There are also tanuki-related characters in anime. They are portrayed differently depending on the work, such as
surprising people with their transformation skills, living in harmony with human society, or looking like a tanuki .

So, Anime! Anime! will be conducting a reader survey titled “What comes to mind when you think of a ‘tanuki’ character?”, following on from last year. Please answer in a free-form format, telling us the character and the name of the work you think it is.
