In anime and games, characters with two-tone hair, where half of the hair is a different color, often appear. There are various ways of depicting this, such as a clear division between the left and right sides, different colors at the roots and tips, or only parts of the hair being dyed a different color .

So Anime! Anime! conducted a reader survey titled “Who is your favorite character with two-tone hair?”
The survey was conducted from September 9th to September 13th, and 1,512 people responded. The gender ratio was about 20 percent male, about 70 percent female, and about 10 percent gave no response, so there were more females than males. In terms of age group, about 55 percent were under 19 years old, and about 20 percent were in their 20s, so the younger generation was the majority.
