The characters from “Chiikawa” are now available in the playful snacks “CharaPaki” and “Tsurigumi”. Both will be on sale in the snack section of mass retailers nationwide from September 30th.
“Chiikawa” is a manga by illustrator Nagano. It is a story about the fun, sad, and slightly hard days of the always hardworking Chiikawa and her friends Hachiware and Usagi, as well as other unique characters. A TV anime adaptation has been airing on Mezamashi TV since April 2022.
This time, “Chiikawa” will be added to the lineup of sweets from the Bandai Candy Division. The “CharaPaki” series is an original Bandai sweet that is made by splitting a chocolate bar into pieces and cutting out the chocolate characters. Since its launch in 2017, the series has shipped over 150 million pieces in total.
“Chiikawa Character Pack” includes 8 varieties: Chiikawa, Hachiware, Rabbit, Chestnut Manju, Shisa, Sea Otter, Flying Squirrel, and Second-hand Bookstore. Four flavors, including strawberry and blueberry, are used, and they express the world of “Chiikawa” in a cute way. The price is 138 yen.
The “Tsurigumi” series is a new type of candy where you have to lift the gummy candy from the tray so that it doesn’t fall off. “Chiikawa Tsuri Gumi” has a lineup of 10 types, including tray designs based on some episodes from the “Chiikawa” manga and designs that feature the characters as the main characters. There are also secret designs.
Using grape and soda flavored gummies, you can enjoy fishing for gummies while connecting the episodes of the manga. The price is 86 yen (tax included).
Chiikawa’s “Character Pack” and “Tsurigumi” will be on sale from September 30th.
