A collaboration event between the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” and Tokyo Skytree(R) Jujutsu Kaisen will be held at Tokyo Skytree from September 25, 2024. Anime! Anime! will bring you a look at the collaboration event.
First, from the inside of the Tembo Shuttle (elevator) heading to the Tembo Deck, it was all “Jujutsu Kaisen”! Scenes of Itadori and the others were scattered all over the walls, and a video was playing above the door. As I gazed at this space, I suddenly reached the Tembo Galleria, 450 meters above the ground. It went by so quickly that I wondered if someone had used a magic spell (laughs).
At the Sky Corridor, you will be greeted by life-sized panels of Itadori, Fushiguro, Kugisaki, Gojo, and Ieiri, Gojo, and Geto from Kaigyoku and Tamaori. You can take a commemorative photo sandwiched between the two groups of the Jujutsu Technical College. Make this a special memory to have two Gojo Satorus in this rare space.
In the corridor area, characters from the second season of the TV anime are gathered. Lines from the show such as “It’s a quick one and a flip. It’s a quick one, don’t you know? It’s so stylish” are displayed, along with various scene cuts, bringing back events from the anime. When
you come across a cut that makes you wonder if the character had a certain expression on their face, you’ll want to rewatch the anime.
In addition, there are also photo spots where you can take pictures as if you are casting a spell! There are many spells in the lineup, such as Black Flash, Ten Shadow Spells “Escape Rabbit”, Rumination Spirit Spell, Domain Expansion “Infinite Void”… so if you can conquer them all, you will feel like a special grade sorcerer.
At the turnaround, characters and techniques are displayed on a huge wall, making this a larger and more impressive corner than the previous one.
At Sorakara Point, the highest point 451.2 meters above ground, the fierce battle of the Shibuya Incident is condensed. You can look back on the thrilling battles that unfolded.
On the same floor, there is also a spot where you can take commemorative photos with your own goods, so be sure to take a photo with your favorite goods along with the spectacular view! You can take a photo that looks like a “curtain” has fallen over the cityscape.
For those who don’t have goods, there is also a photo service that allows you to take photos with characters with a spectacular view in the background, so this is also recommended.
The Skytree Cafe will also be selling collaboration menu items, such as sandwich plates, crispy doughnuts, orange juice, and cream soda, all inspired by each character. As a bonus for purchasing, customers will also receive a coaster with a newly drawn chibi character design.
At the Skytree Shop, goods using the event’s key visuals and newly drawn chibi characters will be available. The lineup includes acrylic stands, tote bags, and slide canned ramune. The
slide canned ramune is what caught my eye. After you’ve finished eating it, it looks like you can use it as a small item holder.
In addition, at the SKYTREE ROUND THEARTER(R), the opening and ending videos are shown on a panoramic screen 350 meters above ground. You can enjoy both “Kaitama-Tamaori” and “Shibuya Jihen”. Please note that this is only available in the evening and at night. There are also days when the Skytree is lit up with special lighting, so be sure to check that out as well.
