The synopsis and preview of the first episode, “I want to go home like this today,” from the fall anime “The Grieving Ghost Wants to Retire,” which will air on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, has been released.
The original work of “The Grieving Ghost Wants to Retire” is the popular novel “The Grieving Ghost Wants to Retire ~The Weakest Hunter’s Method of Raising the Strongest Party~”, which has sold over 1.5 million copies (print + electronic) in total. It is a “misunderstanding comedy fantasy” by Tsukikage, which began serialization on “Let’s Become a Novelist” in 2018 and is currently being published by “GC Novels”.
The golden age of treasure hunters. Cry Andrich, who vowed to become the strongest hero, was the only one who was overwhelmingly untalented among the party “Strange Grief,” which was formed by childhood friends who were all too talented. Cry was made the leader because there was no particular role for him, but his words and actions were always misunderstood due to the expectations of those around him, and the situation unfolded in an unexpected way.
Episode 1: “I want to go home today” Synopsis
Cry Andrich is the weakest, yet one of the best high-level hunters in the Imperial Capital. He shows up to interview new members for the clan he masters, “First Step,” but his irresponsible remarks cause a big commotion…
Later, Cry is summoned by the Explorers’ Association, and in order to take responsibility for the commotion, he accepts a relatively easy request – rescuing a stranded person at a certain treasure hall.
However, Cly is a man who leaves everything to others, and he passes the request on to Tino.
The first episode of “The Grieving Ghost Wants to Retire”, titled “I Want to Go Home Like This Today”, will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels from Tuesday, October 1st.
