The synopsis and preview cuts of the first episode, “Welcome to Hyakki Academy!”, of the fall anime “I Started Being a Teacher at a Yokai School!” (2 consecutive seasons), which will be broadcast on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, have been released.

“I Became a Teacher at a Yokai School!” is a comedy about a school of monsters based on a manga by Mai Tanaka that is currently being serialized in the monthly G Fantasy magazine and has sold over 900,000 copies in total, soon to be celebrating its 10th year of serialization.

The story depicts the strange and lively daily life of Abe Haruaki, a timid and crybaby new human teacher, and his students and teachers who are a mishmash of unique personalities at Hyakki Gakuen, a school where youkai from all over Japan gather.

Episode 1: Welcome to Hyakki Academy! Synopsis

Abe no Seimei is a weak-willed teacher who has been assigned to Hyakki Academy, a school full of monsters.

Despite being pushed around by the unique yokai teachers and students, he takes his first steps as a teacher!

In order to take a class photo, the group goes to meet the reclusive Zashiki-warashi, Beniko, but…!?

The first episode of “I’ve Become a Teacher at a Yokai School!”, “Welcome to Hyakki Academy!”, will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from Tuesday, October 8th.
