It has been announced that the cosplay event “ShimaCos 2024 ~Shima Spain Village COSPLAY~” will be held for two days on December 7th and 8th, 2024 at the Shima Spain Village complex in Shima City, Mie Prefecture. This will be the first time the event has been held in five years since 2019.
Shima Spain Village, located in the scenic Ise-Shima region, is a resort complex consisting of a Spanish-themed theme park, hotel, and hot springs, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2024. Inside the park, which recreates an exotic townscape, adults and children can enjoy thrilling attractions, participatory entertainment, authentic Spanish cuisine, and more to their heart’s content.
“ShimaCos 2024 ~Shima Spain Village COSPLAY~” at the park will be the second cosplay event held in five years since its first event in 2019. After the COVID-19 pandemic, cosplayers and photographers will once again gather at Shima Spain Village to enjoy cosplay photography with Spanish-themed buildings, cityscapes, and attractions as a backdrop.
In addition to cosplay photo shoots at the theme park, the event will also allow photo shoots at Hotel Shima Spain Village, which will be open to the public as a special event. There will also be stage events and other events focused on cosplay. Cosplayers and photographers, as well as those who are not participating in ShimaCos 2024, will want to take this opportunity to visit Shima Spain Village to support the cosplayers.
