From “Chiikawa”, “Chiikawa Aiueo Karuta” is now available, which allows you to become familiar with letters and words while enjoying illustrations and rhythmic sentences. It will be on sale from October 23, 2024 at Kadokawa Store and other bookstores.
“Chiikawa” is a manga by illustrator Nagano from X (formerly Twitter). It depicts the fun, sad, and slightly hard daily life of the always hardworking Chiikawa and her friends Hachiware and Usagi, as well as other unique characters.
As of October 2024, X (formerly Twitter) has over 3.5 million followers, and the anime is also attracting a lot of attention as it is being broadcast on Fuji TV’s Mezamashi TV.
The “Aiueo Karuta” card allows children to learn the letters and words from “a” to “n” while enjoying the cute illustrations and original rhythmic sentences of “Chiikawa”.
On the back of the card, the stroke order of hiragana, katakana, and romaji are recorded.
In addition to playing with it as karuta, you can also practice tracing the stroke order with your finger or read it out loud, making it an ideal way to learn characters for the first time.
We also recommend arranging the game in different ways, such as making words using the letters on the picture cards, sorting numbers using the illustrations on the back of the reading cards, sorting the alphabet, searching, etc. The instructions list four different ways to play, so try playing with different rules while referring to them.
