Who did O (Umeda Shuuichirou) encounter in the fall anime “Blue Miblo”? The life-risking “youthful” Shinsengumi begins – Episode 1 preview

The synopsis and preview cuts of the first episode “Mibu Nami and the Boy” of the fall anime “Ao no Miburo” have been released, and it has been decided that the series will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons. In addition, comments have been received from Shuuichirou Umeda, who plays the main character Oo, and Hiroya Nakata, the program producer.

“Blue Miblo” is based on the manga “DAYS” by Takeshi Yasuda, which has sold over 13 million copies in total and is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine”, and is themed around the Shinsengumi.

This is a story in which the fate of the protagonist, a young boy, begins to move when he meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji, also known as Miburo, the most fearsome group of swordsmen in Japan.

Episode 1 “Mibu Rogue and the Boy” Synopsis
The arrival of the Black Ships causes upheaval in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period. A kind-hearted boy named Chirinu Nioh, who works at a dumpling shop, meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Souji, members of the Mibu Roshi Group, aka “Miburo,” who later become the Shinsengumi.

In an era where money, land, and even life are taken away unjustly, an ordinary 13-year-old’s fate begins to change dramatically after he meets the members of “Miburo,” who protect the city of Kyoto with their own sense of justice in their hearts!
The life-risking “super youth” of the Shinsengumi begins!

In addition, comments from Shuichiro Umeda, who plays the main character Oo, and the show’s producer Hiroya Nakata have arrived ahead of the first broadcast.
It has been decided that the series will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons, raising expectations.

The first episode of “Ao no Miburo”, “Mibu Nami and the Boy”, will begin airing on Yomiuri TV, Nippon TV nationwide and other networks on Saturday, October 19th.

The main character is a boy whose name remains unknown in history, but who may have actually existed. What path will he walk? I would like to see it through together with you all.

I think there are several Shinsengumi entertainment works that have imprinted the image of the Shinsengumi in the hearts of Japanese people, such as Ryotaro Shiba, Jiro Asada, and historical dramas. “Blue Miblo” is one of those works that will imprint the image of the Shinsengumi in the hearts of viewers, making it the best entertainment! Please look forward to it!
