Koichi Yamadera, Toshihiko Seki, Ryusei Nakao and others share their thoughts on the first “NOMORE Unauthorized AI” awareness video released by a group of volunteers

The first part of the “NOMORE Unauthorized AI Generation” awareness video by a group of voice actors has been released. The trailer released on October 15th caused a stir, with about 2.5 million views in less than 24 hours. This first part features Yamadera Kouichi, Sakamoto Chinatsu, Kanai Mika, Seki Toshihiko, Kujira, Nakao Ryusei, and others.

The association defines “unauthorized generated AI” as an AI product that has undergone additional learning, generation, and publication without the permission of the performer or copyright holder. Under the current law as of October 2024, “learning for information analysis” and “learning for non-enjoyment purposes” are outside the scope of copyright law, but additional learning is controversial.

AI-generated works that can identify whose voice or expression it is could potentially violate not only copyright but also personal rights, causing sadness and hurt to some. The association wants as many people as possible to know about this.

The voice actors appearing in the series include Ikemizu Michihiro, Ueda Youji, Kaida Yuko, Kaji Yuki, Kataoka Tomie, Kanai Mika, Kujira, Sakaguchi Shuhei, Sakamoto Chinatsu, Sakino Shunsuke, Sasaki Yuko, Shimada Bin, Shimamura Yuu, Araki Tarusuke, Seki Toshihiko, Takeuchi Ryota, Tochi Hiroki, Nakao Ryusei, Nakata Jouji, Namikawa Daisuke, Paku Romi, Fukami Rika, Fukuyama Jun, Houki Katsutoshi, Miyamoto Mitsuru, and Yamadera Kouichi.

The recently released video, “NOMORE Unauthorized Generative AI Vol.1,” features Yamadera Kouichi, Sakamoto Chinatsu, Kanai Mika, Seki Toshihiko, Kujira, Nakao Ryusei, and others. Each person answers one of the following questions, “How did you feel when watching the video about the damage caused by unauthorized generative AI?”, “What kind of changes do you think generative AI will bring to the industry?”, “What do you think is the best way to use generative AI?”, and “What do you think about people making money from unauthorized generative AI?”, or talks about their thoughts on “unauthorized generative AI.”

This activity is a gathering of voice actors, but the Japan Actors Union and the Japan Voice Producers Union are listed as the leading supporting organizations, and it is expected that the number of supporting organizations will increase in the future. The association is also distributing frames with the “NOMORE Unauthorized AI” logo design on its official website and official X (formerly Twitter) that can be used to express your intentions as a SNS icon, and is calling on people who agree with this activity to “use it as a SNS icon.”
