From “Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge,” which began streaming worldwide on Netflix on October 17, 2024, the “Zaku II F-type LeShon’s Machine” and “Unidentified Zaku II LeShon’s Machine” will be available as a set in the Gunpla HG (High Grade) series. Pre-orders began on the mail order site “Premium Bandai” on October 31, 2024.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge is a new original anime series for global distribution, consisting of 6 episodes of 30 minutes each, focusing on the European front during the One Year War, the setting of the first Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam. 11 months after the outbreak of war, one of the bases under Zeon occupation in Eastern Europe is seized by the Federal Army, and the story follows the exploits of Solari and the Red Wolf Squad, a mobile suit platoon that has just come down from space and joins a mixed battalion heading to recapture it.
The film will be produced in collaboration with Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE, using Unreal Engine 5. The screenplay will be written by Gavin Highnight, who worked on the anime Star Wars Resistance, and the film will be directed by Erasmus Brosdau, who worked on the anime Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness. The Japanese voice cast includes Nanako Mori as Ilia Solari, Shoya Ishige as Niland LeShawn, Shunichi Maki as Reed Gelfi (Chubs), Ryunosuke Watanuki as Cale Zavaleta, Ryosuke Hara as Ander Heaton, Takeo Otsuka as Oni Kasuga, Maki Kawase as Hayley Arhun, and Hiroshi Naka as Alfie Zydos (Gearhead).
This time, from this film, the “LeSean Zaku II F type” piloted by Red Wolf’s Neeland LeSean, and the “LeSean Unidentified Zaku II LeSean’s” piloted in the second half of the film are being released as a two-piece Gunpla HG set.
The Zaku II F-Type’s mono-eye position can be adjusted by sliding the rib on the back of the head, and the leg articulation pipes have movable axes at the joints so they follow the movement of the legs.
As for various armament parts, in addition to the Zaku machine gun and heat hawk that can be suspended on the back via top parts, a Zaku bazooka is also included. Missile pods can be equipped on the left and right legs.
The “Unidentified Zaku II LeShon” comes with a variety of parts to recreate the Zaku II assembled on-site. Water-transfer decals including the Red Wolf Corps’ unit emblem and numbering are also included.
In addition to the shoulder shield and spike armor, various parts of the suit are fitted with additional armor such as logs. The chain is recreated with metal parts, and the cover over the left shoulder joint is made of vinyl material.
In addition, the right forearm is equipped with a missile pod, and the left forearm is equipped with a large shield with the tracks of the Magella Attack as additional armor.
Some parts require glue during assembly, and some parts require painting to recreate the model.
Both models are Gunpla models with a highly realistic design, recreating the details of the MS depicted in full CG at a high density in 1/144 scale.
