It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime “UniteUp! -Uni:Birth-” of the multi-dimensional idol project “UniteUp!” will be broadcast from January 2025. In conjunction with this, the key visual and teaser PV have been released. In addition, the latest artist photo, which shows the costume linked to the key visual, was also unveiled.
“UniteUp!” is a multi-dimensional idol project presented by Sony Music Group, which suddenly opened in 2022 and released songs by various artists on a YouTube channel, and the TV anime “UniteUp!” connected to the songs was broadcast from January to April 2023. The project consists
of three new idols, “PROTOSTAR”, who are singers, “LEGIT”, a talented idol with high dance performance skills, “JAXX/JAXX”, a band idol with a strong bond, and “Anela”, a former legendary idol who leads them as the representative of the agency. The 13 characters and cast members are active in two dimensions (anime) and three dimensions (live performances), sometimes as voice actors and sometimes as artists, truly “multi-dimensional”.
The project has been releasing seven songs in a row since June 2024, and now the second season of the anime, “UniteUp! -Uni:Birth-“, is set to begin airing in January 2025.
The teaser PV released allows viewers to already hear “Uni:Birth”, the opening theme for the second season. Scenes from the first season are used extensively, bringing to mind the feelings you had when watching it back then.
A key visual was also unveiled, showing the characters wearing new costumes. The outfits, based on grey, black and white, give off a chic and cool impression.
In addition, the photos of each artist have been updated to match the key visuals. The photos, which allow you to experience the fusion of two dimensions, are a must-see, as they are a “multi-dimensional idol project.”
The second season of the TV anime “UniteUp!”, “UniteUp! -Uni:Birth-“, will begin airing in January 2025.
In addition, a re-broadcast of the first season of the anime will begin in October 2024, and the first solo live performances by each unit will be held in November.
