The TV anime adaptation of the romance adventure game “Summer Pockets” will begin airing in 2025. The first main visual and promotional video have now been released. In addition, additional cast members and information on the opening and ending theme songs have been revealed.
“Summer Pockets” is a romance adventure game by Key, a game brand of Visual Arts, the creators of “CLANNAD,” “Little Busters!,” and “Angel Beats!.” The story was written by the talented writers Yuu Niijima, Kai, and Hasama, and the music was added by Shinji Orito, Donmaru, Tomohiro Takeshita, Ryo Mizuki, and Shuhei Ohashi, who have worked on Key’s previous works, making this the most popular romance adventure game of 2018.
The story begins when the protagonist, Hayari Takahara, comes to Torihaku Island by herself during her summer vacation to sort out her late grandmother’s belongings. After meeting a girl when she gets off the ferry, which only runs a few times a day, she begins to spend her days interacting with nature and friends that she would never have known while living in the city.
The first main visual was released at the “TV Animation Summer Pockets Prologue Party” event, which celebrated the decision to make this work into an anime. It depicts Shiroha Naruse, Ao Sorakado, Kamome Kushima, and Wenders Tsumugi with a refreshing island landscape in the background.
The PV released at the same time also features Takahara Hayari, played by Chiba Shoya. The four heroines appear in turn, and you can hear their lines. The PV carefully depicts the days spent surrounded by the blue sea, lighthouses, and lush greenery, making it a PV that will remind you of something nostalgic that you had forgotten.
Additionally, eight additional cast members who will be continuing from the original game have been revealed:
Nomura Miki will be played by Ichinomiya Saku, Mizuori Shizuku will be played by Koyama Sahomi, Kato Umi will be played by Tanaka Aimi, Misaki Kyoko will be played by Takamoto Megumi, Naruse Kobato will be played by Shiraishi Minoru, Mitani Ryoichi will be played by Kumagai Kentaro, and Kano Tenzen will be played by Hamada Yohei.
The adorable mascot-like character Inari will be voiced by Suzuki Konomi.
In addition, it was revealed that Suzuki Konomi will continue to sing the opening and ending themes from the original game. The opening theme will be “Alcatel” and the ending theme will be “Lasting Moment”.
The TV anime “Summer Pockets” will begin broadcasting in 2025. The official website was also renewed to coincide with this announcement, raising expectations for further updates in the future.
