“Tarepanda,” “Kogepan,” “Afro-Inu,” “Nyan Nyan Nyanko,” and other popular characters from the early 2000s are reuniting in the Reiwa era. San-X Characters “Friends of Those Days” are here.
The culture of the early Heisei period from the late 1980s to the early 2000s is attracting renewed attention from young people as “Heisei Retro.” San-X’s “Tarepanda” and “Kogepan” were popular in the Heisei period, and have now returned as “nostalgic and cute” items.
For each character, there are memo pads featuring art from that time, acrylic stands to display on your desk, Boston-style pouches to store your favorite cosmetics and accessories, and the Energel Ballpoint Pen 3C, which you can casually use at work. There are also five types of hanging stuffed toys that you can carry around with you on your bag, which are also interesting.
There are also five kinds of “plush toys” to choose from. They are all cute, including the soothing “Taru Panda,” the “Koge Pan” that comes with a bread bag-style pouch, the “Afro Dog” whose afro can be removed, and the adorable “Nyan Nyan Nyanko” with its tail peeking out from under its dorayaki.
Other items in the lineup include “tile stickers” and “hanging stuffed animals” (4 types in total).
San-X Characters “Friends from Those Days,” which will remind you of the excitement of the Heisei era, will be available at retailers and online shops nationwide from early October.
