A collaboration cafe for the TV anime “Kuroko’s Basketball” has opened in Shibuya, Tokyo. For a limited time only from October 18th to November 10th, new merchandise and collaboration menu items featuring original illustrations of the characters in black suits will be available.
Kuroko’s Basketball, which began airing as a TV anime in 2012, is based on a basketball manga written by Tadatoshi Fujimaki and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2009 to 2014.
The five geniuses of the ultra-strong Teikou Junior High School basketball team were called the “Generation of Miracles.” However, the Generation of Miracles had a mysterious sixth man. Kuroko Tetsuya joined the Seirin High School basketball team in the new school year. He was the sixth man of Teikou Junior High School, a master of passing the ball unnoticed by opponents.
The story of the main character Kuroko Tetsuya, Kagami Taiga and other unique characters competing against rival schools became a hot topic, and the TV anime was broadcast for three seasons starting in April 2012. After that, the movie version of Kuroko’s Basketball: Last Game, based on Kuroko’s Basketball: Extra Game published in Shonen Jump NEXT!!, was released in 2017, and a project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the anime is currently underway.
Characters from “Kuroko’s Basketball” – Izuki Shun, Koganei Shinji, Furuhata Mitsuki, Moriyama Yoshitaka, Takao Kazunari, Miyaji Kiyoshi, Imayoshi Shoichi, Himuro Tatsuya, Mibuchi Reo, and Hanamiya Makoto – will be appearing in black suits at the collaboration cafe “TV Anime “Kuroko’s Basketball” × Chugai Grace Cafe.”
The collaboration menu includes many items such as “Izuki Shun’s Coffee Jelly French Toast,” “Takao Kazunari’s Teriyaki Kimchi Mayo Burger and German Potatoes,” “Moriyama Yoshitaka’s Favorite Yakikitsune Udon,” “Miyaji Kiyoshi’s Orange Float,” and “Himuro Tatsuya’s Purple Fruit Soda.” One coaster will be distributed at random for each collaboration menu item ordered.
In addition to familiar items such as “acrylic figure stands” and “trading tin badges,” new goods will include exclusive items such as “polarized light shot collection” and “beef curry (with bonus)” in the lineup as “Cafe Black Suit 2024 ver.”
There will also be “trading tin badges” and “trading mini acrylic stands” of the “Cafe 2024 ver.” using mini characters.
The collaboration cafe will also offer special benefits for those who make advance online reservations or purchase merchandise (including online purchases). In addition, the Chugai Mining Contents Department EC site “Chugaionline”, which handles merchandise, will be selling the “Lunch Cloth Cafe 2024 ver.” and “B2 Fabric Poster Cafe Black Suit 2024 ver.” (10 types in total) in advance.
