It has been decided that “The Lady Protected by the Gorilla God is Loved by the Royal Knights” will be made into a TV anime in 2025. To commemorate this, congratulatory comments and illustrations have arrived from the original author Shirohi and manga artist Kamisu Mika.
“The Young Lady Protected by the Gorilla God is Loved by the Royal Knights” is based on a novel that Shirohi serialized on “Let’s Become a Novelist”, illustrated as a manga by Kamisu Mika and currently being published by FLOS COMIC.
Set in a world where you can receive the protection of various animal gods when you turn 16, this romantic fantasy follows the growth of Sophia Leelor, a timid count’s daughter who draws the “Gorilla God,” said to be the strongest fighter. This “unprecedented gorilla romantic comedy” depicts the surprises of the protagonist, whose peaceful school life is turned upside down after gaining an unwanted power.
September 24th is World Gorilla Day, so it was announced that the film will be adapted into an animated series, with the word “gorilla” in the title.
Shirohi, the original author, commented on the anime adaptation, “This is all thanks to Mika Kamisu, who makes the original story so much more appealing, the readers who support us, and the gorillas all over the world. Thank you so much!”

When I started writing the previous title of this work, “Have you ever thought about the feelings of a young lady who was protected by the Gorilla God?”, I honestly thought it would be impossible to turn it into a book. However, my current editor approached me about turning it into a comic, and now I have been given the miracle of having it turned into an anime.
