“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” focuses on the “pillars” for the first time! A large-scale exhibition will be held where you can experience the charm and thoughts of Kyojuro Rengoku, Giyu Tomioka, and others

The first large-scale exhibition to focus on the “pillars” of the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” has been scheduled to be held at the new museum “CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO” in Kyobashi, Tokyo from November 2, 2024. This will be the opening event for the museum, and will provide an experience of the “pillars” that can only be experienced here, ahead of the final battle at “Infinite Castle.”

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is an anime based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which has been published by Shueisha’s “Jump Comics” in 23 volumes and has sold over 150 million copies. The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by demons, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has also become a demon, back into a human, and throws himself into fighting demons.

The anime, produced by ufotable, has been expanding into a series since April 2019 with “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Tanjiro Kamado’s Unwavering Resolve Arc,” and will be followed by “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Pillar Training Arc” in May 2024, and then “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc” in a trilogy. The heartbreaking story of humans and demons, the terrifying swordplay, the charming characters, and the occasional comical scenes have made it popular around the world.

The upcoming “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Anime Pillar Exhibition – And to the Infinity Castle” is the first in the series to focus on the “pillars,” the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps. They are the strongest swordsmen who connect the will of the Demon Slayer Corps, which has been fighting Kibutsuji Muzan for a thousand years. The exhibition will explore the charms of these nine “pillars” in various ways, focusing on their individual personalities and thoughts, and moving towards the Infinity Castle together with the thoughts of the “pillars.”

At the venue, various things that have been drawn in the anime over the past five years will be gathered together, and the figures of the “pillars” will be constructed in three dimensions in a large space of about 1,200 square meters with a ceiling height of 5 meters. Through an exhibition of about 1,000 original drawings that show their expressions and various video displays, the overwhelming amount of material will allow visitors to feel the presence of the “pillars” more deeply.

In addition, by holding up the “pillar card” you receive at the entrance over the appropriate area, you can enjoy exhibits where you can experience the famous quotes of the “pillars,” and a corner where the “pillar” you choose introduces other “pillars” through audio recorded specially for this exhibition. The “pillar card” is a card-shaped admission benefit with an illustration of a “pillar” designed on it, and you can choose one out of nine people to receive it upon entering. By using the “pillar card,” you can experience a special audio experience of the “pillar” you selected.

In addition, the “CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO CAFE” next to the venue will be hosting the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Anime Hashira Exhibition – And to the Infinity Castle – Cafe produced by ufotable Café” during the exhibition period. A collaboration menu unique to the “CMT CAFÉ” focusing on each of the nine “pillars” will be on offer, so be sure to stop by when you visit.

The first large-scale exhibition in the anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba to focus on the “pillars,” “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Pillars Exhibition – And to Mugen Castle,” is scheduled to run from November 2nd to March 2nd, 2025 at the new museum CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO in Kyobashi, Tokyo.
