It has been announced that the original spin-off manga by Shimizu Aki, “Nakamura Sensei Chuzenji’s Monster Lectures: Because the Teacher Solves the Mystery,” which depicts the prequel to Kyogoku Natsuhiko’s “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons Series,” will be made into a TV anime in 2025. A teaser visual was released along with the announcement, along with comments from Shimizu and Kyogoku.
“Nakazenji Sensei’s Ghost Lectures: Because the Teacher Solves the Mystery” is a school youth supernatural tale by Shimizu Aki, which began serialization in 2019 and has currently been published in nine volumes. The story follows the protagonist, a female student named Kusakabe Kana, who meets Nakazenji Akihiko, a newly appointed Japanese teacher at the school, and how they face various supernatural incidents together. It is a prequel to Kyogoku Natsuhiko’s “Night Parade of One Hundred Demons Series,” a novel that has sold over 10 million copies and features Kyogokudo from his time as a high school teacher.
The TV anime adaptation will be produced by 100studio. The director will be Kumano Chihiro, with Oka Atsushi in charge of animation composition and scriptwriting, and Suzuki Masahiko in character design. A teaser visual has also been released, with Shimizu and Kyogoku also providing comments in celebration of the anime adaptation.
