When you let your hair down, your impression changes completely… “Blue Locks” Teruhide Barou’s silky smooth hair is “king class” beautiful

The second season of the TV anime “Blue Lock VS. U-20 JAPAN” began airing on October 5th. Teruhide Barou (voiced by Junichi Suwabe), whose trademark is his unique spiky hair, showed off his look with his hair down, making viewers fall in love with the contrast, with comments like “He looks so grown-up” and “He’s so beautiful.”

In the 25th episode “Tryout”, the first episode of the second season, the contents of the aptitude test for the match against the U-20 Japan National Team were announced. Kiyoyoichi (CV: Urawa Nozomi) was not selected as one of the top 6 in the overall evaluation, and was racking his brains over how to approach the aptitude test while brushing his teeth. Then Barou called out to him, saying, “Shut up. What are you wondering about?”

Marou firmly stated his stance, saying, “No matter where I go, I will put myself out there and become the king. That’s all,” and encouraged Kiyo with his typical choice of words, saying, “Why aren’t you in the TOP 6? It pisses me off. You’re the one I need to crush. Don’t get buried in a place like this, you loser.”

Normally, Barou has a distinctive hairstyle with his hair standing up high, but on this occasion, he had his long hair down, perhaps because he had just taken a bath. It seems that many fans were enthralled by Barou’s silky hair, with X (old Twitter) commenting, “Barou-san looks really mature with his hair down,” “Barou looks so cool with his hair down!!!,” “He’s just too beautiful with his hair down,” and “He’s seriously handsome.” There has even been an enthusiastic (!?) request to “keep his hair down forever.”

The anime “Blue Lock” is based on a hugely popular comic by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura, which has sold over 40 million copies and is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine”. The story is about high school students who are gathered in the “Blue Lock” project to train the world’s best striker who will lead Japan to victory in the World Cup, and how they awaken their ego as strikers in extreme conditions. The first season of the anime will air in October 2022, and in the second season, “Blue Lock VS. U-20 JAPAN”, the members who survived the harsh selection process will compete against the U-20 Japan national team, risking the survival of the project.

Episode 25 “Aptitude Test (Tryout)”
[Synopsis]
After the second selection of the “Blue Lock (Blue Prison)” project, 35 high school forwards survive. Having overcome the harsh survival, they will play a match against the U-20 Japan National Team in three weeks, with the survival of the “Blue Lock (Blue Prison)” project at stake. Emi declares that the team that will take on this must-lose big match will be formed around the players in the top six overall evaluations. The remaining forwards who were not selected from the top six will take part in an aptitude test (tryout) with a chance at a regular spot.
