It has been announced that the permanent store “Chiikawa Restaurant” at Ikebukuro PARCO will also open in Shinsaibashi and Nagoya PARCO. It will open for a limited time from November 2024. Menus inspired by the food at “Chiikawa” and original goods will be available.
“Chiikawa” is a manga by illustrator Nagano from X (formerly Twitter). It depicts the fun, sad, and slightly hard days of the always hardworking Chiikawa and her friends Hachiware and Usagi, as well as other unique characters. The series began serialization in 2020. A TV anime adaptation has been airing on the morning information program “Mezamashi TV” since April 2022.
“Chiikawa Restaurant” is a permanent cafe at PARCO in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, with the concept of a “family restaurant” so that a wide range of “Chiikawa” fans can enjoy it. Original menus and interior decorations are available. It has now been decided that the cafe will also be held at PARCO stores in Shinsaibashi, Osaka and Nagoya, Aichi.
The restaurant will offer eight types of grand menu items, just like a family restaurant. In addition, there will be eight types of “appetizing HOT fair” menu items, which are carefully selected “hot” episodes from the original manga.
The menu includes a variety of dishes, such as “Ro” ramen served by a supermarket part-time worker named Shisa who is the owner of the shop for a day, a hamburger steak topped with a fried egg, and “Chiikawa’s Children’s Lunch” which adults can also order.
Also worth checking out are the unique dessert menu items such as “Go Chiikawa!! Weeding Tiramisu,” which is inspired by Chiikawa’s weeding work.
The “appetizing HOT fair” menu will offer items such as cold ice cream sandwiches and the “Delicious Curry (Demon),” which was so spicy that even Chiikawa and his friends fainted in agony in the manga.
In addition, with every drink ordered from the easy-to-drink drink menu, an original clear coaster will be included, chosen at random from a total of 10 types.
As a special gift for customers who visit the store, A3-sized paper placemats called “Spot the Difference Placemats” are available. There are three designs, and one will be handed out at random.
In addition, the adjacent “Chiikawa Restaurant” goods shop sells a variety of original goods such as food and tableware. The
lineup includes stuffed animal mascots of the characters working in the dining area, a chef, and in the kitchen, as well as “Ro” rice bowls.
There are also items such as “Something Little Jelly” and “Delicious Curry (Demon)” that you can enjoy at home, so after enjoying your meal, why not take some merchandise home as souvenirs?
