“Gundam Requiem of Revenge” begins streaming today, October 17th! Scene images of “Gundam” attacking as an enemy revealed [Netflix exclusive]

Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge, a new original anime based on Mobile Suit Gundam, will be exclusively distributed worldwide on Netflix from October 17, 2024. Along with this, new stills have been released. They include the main mobile suits, Gundam, feared as the White Devil, and the main characters, including the protagonist Solari.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge is a new original anime series for global distribution, consisting of 6 episodes of 30 minutes each, focusing on the European front during the One Year War, the setting of the first Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam. 11
months after the outbreak of war, one of the bases under Zeon occupation in Eastern Europe is seized by the Federal Army, and the story follows the exploits of Solari and the Red Wolf Squad, a mobile suit platoon that has just come down from space and joins a mixed battalion heading to recapture it.

The production will use Unreal Engine 5, and will be a collaboration between Sunrise and SAFEHOUSE. The screenplay will be written by Gavin Highnight, whose work includes the anime series Tekken: Bloodline, Transformers: Cyberverse, and Star Wars: Resistance, and the director will be Erasmus Brosdau, whose work includes the anime series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, games Star Citizen, Rise: Son of Rome, and the Crysis series.

To commemorate the long-awaited start of distribution, 12 stills have been released, including new cuts. These
include the Zaku II F type (Solaris’ machine) piloted by the main character Solaris, and the new unidentified Zaku II (Solaris’ machine) built for Solaris.

Additionally, there are scenes showing the Zeon mobile suit Gouf Custom, and Gundam EX, which director Erasmus Brosdau commented on as “different from previous Gundam series, clearly giving the image of ‘Gundam is the enemy,'” standing in the way of Solari and his friends as the “White Devil.”

Other characters also appearing include members of the Red Wolf Squad, Heaton, Oni, Arfun, Alfie, and more.

The stills include not only the mobile suit combat action scenes, but also a glimpse into the human drama of each character, including the Solari’s inner conflict. There’s no doubt that these are cuts you’ll want to watch right away.

The new original anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem of Revenge has been available worldwide exclusively on Netflix since October 17th.
