Popular cosplayer Enako is fed up with unauthorized AI generation – “The words ‘like an AI’ are not a compliment at all,” she says, expressing her displeasure

On October 16th, popular cosplayer Enako updated her X (formerly Twitter) account and talked about how she felt about the compliment “I look like an AI.”

Enako wrote on her official Twitter account that she was “uncomfortable with the AI eating up my photos and mass-producing photos that look like me,” confessing that her own photos were being used by AI without her permission. She then expressed her displeasure, saying, ” The words ‘like an AI’ are not a compliment at all. ”

This is not the first time Enako has responded to unauthorized AI generation; in the past she has spoken about her experiences, saying, ” I’ve been eaten up so much by AI that all I have left is my bones .”

In response to Enako’s post, fans have commented, “She’s way cuter than AI!”, “I don’t want her to compare her to AI!”, “I don’t understand why people take it as a compliment,” and “I guess it’s the old analogy of ‘looking like a doll,’ but I don’t know.”

Regarding unauthorized AI generation, the ” NOMORE Unauthorized AI Generation Association ” was launched on October 15th by volunteer voice actors, and 26 voice actors including Ryusei Nakao, Kouichi Yamadera, and Yuki Kaji have spoken out against unauthorized AI generation. Including Enako, more and more celebrities are speaking out about the unauthorized AI generation problem. We are waiting for the establishment of cultural rules that everyone can agree on.
