It has been announced that the North American web comic platform manga “The Strongest King, What Will He Do in His Second Life?” will be adapted into a TV anime and broadcast in 2025. Along with this, a teaser visual full of a sense of grand adventure and a teaser PV depicting the cruel king have been released. A comment has also been received from the original author, TurtleMe.
“The Beginning After the End” is a reincarnation adventure fantasy by TurtleMe that began serialization in 2018 on Tapas, one of the largest web comic platforms in North America. The story follows
Grey, the strongest king in history, who is suddenly reincarnated into the magical world one morning as a powerless baby named Arthur, as he struggles with his second life, growing up with the love of his family and friends.
In Japan, the series began serialization on the digital manga and novel service Piccoma in 2020, and has garnered over 20 million hearts (likes) in just one year. It has also been highly praised in China, Korea, and other countries, and has gained popularity with a total of over 150 million views worldwide.
The teaser visual released to accompany the announcement of the TV anime adaptation depicts Arthur gazing at a magnificent landscape. There is a large shadow that a child cannot see, and soldiers lying around, giving the scene a slightly ominous feel.
The teaser PV also shows the cruel King Grey, who kills his enemies and drops bombs, being reincarnated as a cute baby. What kind of life will he lead as Arthur? The finished product leaves us looking forward to future developments. At the end, we can see a boy wearing a mask, and some of the characters’ voices are included, so be sure to check it out.
