The creative team for episode 2 of “Enter the Garden,” an anime anthology trilogy that uses the IP of the NFT project “Azuki,” titled “Fractured Reflections: A World on an Elliptic Curve,” has been announced. Takatsu Yukio will be directing, Kishimoto Taku will be in charge of series composition, and Nakazawa Kazuto will be in charge of character design.
“Azuki” is a popular collective NFT featuring a profile character that combines Japanese anime-style illustrations and street style. It is a Web3 anime brand based in Los Angeles, USA, created by “Chiru Labs,” and is developing a new business that transcends the boundaries of art, technology, and culture. It is based on co-creation with the community and aims to realize a business model unique to Web3.
“Enter The Garden” is not just an animated version of NFT art, but also challenges a new form of collaboration between NFT and anime, such as allowing characters of “Azuki” NFT owners to make cameo appearances in the work. Goro Taniguchi, who has worked on “ONE PIECE FILM RED” and the “Code Geass Series,” was invited as creative producer, and Episode 1, “The Waiting Man,” was released on YouTube channels and other platforms in April 2024, and has been viewed more than 7 million times on social media worldwide.
Now, the creative team for Episode 2 of “Enter The Garden”, “Fractured Reflections – A World on an Elliptic Curve”, has been announced.
Teaming up with Goro Taniguchi as director will be Yukio Takatsu, known for his stylish animation projects and the opening credits of “Naruto Shippuden” and “Bakemonogatari.” In addition, the series will be composed by Taku Kishimoto, known for “Haikyu!!” (2014-2020/series composition and scriptwriting) and “Blue Lock,” while character design will be handled by Kazuto Nakazawa, who has been highly praised for his work on “Samurai Champloo” and “Kill Bill” animation parts. Production will continue to be handled by Dentsu and up-and-coming animation studios Qzil.la and Imagine Infos, as they have been since Episode 1.
