It has been announced that the movie “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter 2” is scheduled to be released in theaters in winter 2025. Along with this, a newly drawn teaser visual was also unveiled.
“Nijigaku”, also known as “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club”, is the third work in the “Love Live! Series”, an all-media school idol project with the keyword “a story that everyone can make come true”. The members of this club at Nijigasaki High School, a private high school in Odaiba, Tokyo, pursue their dreams one by one, aiming to become the No. 1 school idol, and depict their daily activities, sometimes as rivals and sometimes as friends.
The first season of the TV anime was broadcast in 2020, the second season in 2022, and the new episode OVA “NEXT SKY” was released in June 2023. The movie “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter” is a three-part theatrical series that depicts the events that follow “NEXT SKY” with completely new episodes, and “Chapter 1” was released on September 6, 2024.
The release date for the sequel, “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Final Chapter 2,” was announced at the live “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 7th Live! NEW TOKIMEKI LAND” held at K Arena Yokohama on October 19th and 20th. A newly drawn teaser visual was also unveiled, raising expectations for the story to continue.
Furthermore, it was revealed that in 2025, a live and fan meeting tour will be held, with plans to experience classes in each department under the theme of “Nijigasaki High School Field Trip”. Also, a trial play event has been decided for “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club: The Map of the Future of Excitement” (commonly known as “Nijichizu”), the first visual novel game for “Nijigaku”, which is scheduled for release on April 24, 2025. We can’t take our eyes off the excitement beyond the movie “Final Chapter” series.
