Terulun (Matsubara Teruko), who is training her body for a live performance, is attacked by a bamboo shoot-like object and injures her leg before the live performance. Despite that, Terulun stands on the stage. Despite having many thoughts in her mind, she still sings because she loves being an idol, and this was a touching episode in episode 10.
For the 10th installment of this series, we received a comment from Ai Furuhata, the voice of Teruru, also known as Matsubara Teruko!
–What were your honest thoughts when you saw the script, character settings, and stage setting for “Astronote”?
Furuhata Ai (hereinafter, Furuhata): An amazing work has been born!!! I was looking forward to it as a viewer, and since I was approached about singing the theme song, my honest impression is that I am very happy to have come across this work.
Moreover, I was able to appear as Matsubara Teruko, and when I saw the setting and character design, I really felt like it was fate.
-What did you think of the anime currently airing?
Furuhata: The motifs and scenes that appear here and there make you wonder if it’s really Reiwa? I think it’s an anime that will resonate with people of all ages. The opening video is comical and cute, and it really reminds me of the 80s and 90s, it’s the best!!
–What kind of character is Matsubara Teruko?
Furuhata: Since she is a character with two sides, I switched the tone of my voice slightly between Teruko and Terulun.
Teruko was natural, and of course I exaggerated the parts that needed to be exaggerated (laughs). Terulun had a singing scene, so it was fun to act.
