New merchandise featuring original illustrations of the eight characters from the TV anime “Blue Lock,” including Kiyoyoichi, Seishirou Nagi, and Rin Itoshi, will be available. Animate will hold a pop-up shop and a fair.
The original work of “Blue Lock” is a soccer manga that won the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in the Boys’ category. The story is written by Kinjo Muneyuki and the illustrations are by Nomura Yusuke, and it is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine.
” The “Blue Lock (Blue Prison)” project was launched by the Japan Football Union to develop a striker who can lead Japan to victory in the World Cup. All 300 high school students gathered there were in charge of FW (forward). The story depicts them taking on the selection process, with survival at stake, to become the world’s best striker.
The TV anime will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons starting in October 2022, and the movie “Blue Lock: Episode Nagi” was released in April 2024. The second season of the TV anime will be broadcast from October 5th with a total of 14 episodes.
The eight characters, Kiyoyoichi, Haruka Maki, Kunigami Rensuke, Chigiri Hyouma, Nagi Seishiro, Mikage Reo, Itoshi Rin, and Itoshi Sae, will be appearing at Animate’s “TV Anime Blue Lock Autumn Rain Fair in Animate.”
The “Autumn Rain Fair” will be held from September 14th to September 29th, 2024, and will feature new goods such as the classic “acrylic stand” as well as “mini character acrylic clips” printed with chibi characters.
In addition, for every 1,100 yen (tax included) deposit spent on “Blue Lock” related merchandise, or for every book, CD, Blu-ray, or DVD purchased or reserved (a deposit of 1,100 yen (tax included) or more required), one bonus “illustration card” (8 types in total) will be distributed at random (2.5D products are not included).
A pop-up shop will also be held in the satellite space on the 5th floor of Animate Ikebukuro. Standees of Kiyoyoichi, Harakumawari, Kunigami Rensuke, Sengiri Hyouma, Nagi Seishiro, Mikage Reo, Itoshi Rin, and Itoshi Sae will be on display.
