September 17th is Yoshitsugu Matsuoka’s birthday.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka made his debut as a voice actor in 2009. He won the Newcomer Actor Award at the 6th Seiyuu Awards and the Leading Actor Award at the 10th.

In 2024, he appeared in many titles, including “The Great Operation Yozakura-san Chi”, “Twilight Out Focus”, “Sengoku Youko Senma Konton Hen”, and “Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Five-Point Star”. He also played the lead role in the Japanese dubbed version of the movie “Kingdom for the Planet of the Apes”.

So, to celebrate Yoshitsugu Matsuoka’s birthday, we conducted a reader survey like last year, asking “Which character has been your favorite among the ones you have played?”
During the survey period from September 6th to September 10th, 334 people responded. The gender ratio was about 35 percent male, 55 percent female, and about 10 percent gave no response, with more females than males. In terms of age group, the majority were young people, with about 45 percent under 19 and about 20 percent in their 20s.
