It has been announced that the manga “Ruri no Houseki” will be adapted into an anime. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual and promotional video have been released. The appearance of main cast members Kyori Nemoto and Masami Seto has also been announced, and their comments have arrived.
“Ruri no Houseki” is a full-scale science adventure that has been serialized in “Harta” since 2019. It is a manga by the original author, Keiichiro Shibuya, who studied mineralogy in a university laboratory.
Tanigawa Ruri, a high school girl who loves sparkly things, heads into the mountains in search of crystals, thinking, “Maybe I can find one myself!” There, she meets Arato Nagi, a graduate student majoring in mineralogy, and the story unfolds as they begin to collect minerals together.
Sometimes she walks along mountain paths in search of crystals, sometimes she bathes in a river to pick up garnets, and sometimes she peers at unknown minerals through a microscope – Ruri is led by Nagi into the world of mineral collecting.
Along with the announcement of the long-awaited anime adaptation, the teaser visual released shows Tanigawa Ruri and Arato Nagi in a large format. The two are surrounded by props such as topographical maps and helmets, as well as minerals such as native gold and sapphires, creating an exciting visual for the adventure that is about to begin.
The teaser PV also features a contrast between the two girls standing in front of the magnificent nature. The video will raise expectations for the charms of the cute girls brought to you by Studio Bind, the animation production company.
Additionally, messages have been received from Nemoto Kyori, who plays Tanigawa Ruri, Seto Asami, who plays Arato Nagi, and from the original author Shibuya Keiichiro.
Following the announcement, the official website and official X (formerly Twitter) for the TV anime “Ruri no Houseki” were opened. Anticipation is building for further updates on the broadcast schedule, character information, and more.
Ruri is a very cheerful, honest, and energetic girl, so I wanted to combine her power with detailed portrayal! I was enthusiastic about the dubbing, trying different things, but before I knew it, I was completely absorbed in Nagi’s story every time.
Just as Ruri was drawn in by the charm of minerals, I will do my best to make everyone enjoy this work!

Ever since I started reading the manga “Ruri no Houseki”, I have been interested in the world of stones depicted in it, so I am happy to be able to participate in the anime. I learn about new minerals in each episode, so I am reading the script with great interest.
