“Prime Video” has announced a lineup of titles eligible for Prime member benefits that will begin streaming in October 2024. The lineup will include the all-you-can-watch fastest streaming of the much-anticipated fall anime “Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi,” as well as “Dandadan” and “Majirumie Co., Ltd.”
In the “Animated Movies (Overseas)” category, “FLY!”, an original feature-length animation by Illumination Studios, the studio behind “Minions” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” will be available for unlimited streaming from October 5th.
The film is about an adventure about a family of ducks who, despite being migratory birds, have never left a small pond, but who decide to see the outside world, and embark on a 3,000-kilometer journey to the Caribbean paradise of Jamaica.
In the “Anime Movies (Japan)” category, “Initial D Third Stage,” “New Initial D The Movie: Legend 1 -Awakening-,” “New Initial D The Movie: Legend 2 -Battle-,” and “New Initial D The Movie: Legend 3 -Dream-” will begin streaming on October 4th.
In “TV Anime (Japan)”, many anime will be distributed as autumn anime starting in October.
“Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi”, “Kinokoinu”, “Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story – Kyoto Disturbance”, “Majirumie Co., Ltd.”, “MF Ghost” 2nd Season, and “I Want Someone Else in the Next Life” are scheduled to be available for unlimited viewing at the earliest possible date.
” Dandadan,” which will be available for unlimited viewing from October 4th, is an occult battle and coming-of-age story about Momo, a high school girl born into a family of spiritualists, and her classmate Okarun, who is a fan of
the occult. The manga was created by Tatsuyukinobu, whose overwhelming drawing skills became a hot topic as soon as it began serialization on Jump+, and it quickly became a popular manga. Science SARU, which also worked on “The Color of You,” “The Tale of the Heike,” and “Inu-oh,” is in charge of animation production.
Also, “Magirumier Co., Ltd.”, which will be available for unlimited streaming from October 5th, is based on a manga about work and magical girls.
The main character, Sakuragi Kana, struggles with job hunting and loses all confidence, but after helping Koshigaya, a magical girl who fights “monsters” at a disaster site, her talent as a magical girl is discovered and she joins Magirumier Co., Ltd., a venture company, as a new graduate. The story follows Kana’s growth as a member of society and as a magical girl together with the quirky senior employees she meets there.
Also of interest to anime fans is the Amazon Original crime suspense action series “Yakuza: Beyond the Game,” based on SEGA’s hit game series “Yakuza,” and produced with an original script.
Set in the entertainment district of Kamurocho, the series follows the lives of the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu (Ryoma Takeuchi), nicknamed “The Dragon of Dojima,” and his childhood friend Akira Nishikiyama (Kento Kaku), as they find themselves in the world of the underworld, with the story spanning two timelines, 1995 and 2005. It will be available exclusively from October 25th.
