A pop-up shop selling goods using original illustrations from the TV anime “My Hero Academia” will tour five locations across the country, starting from Shinjuku Marui Annex on October 5th.

My Hero Academia (commonly known as Hiroaka) is a hero action manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump by Kohei Horikoshi. Set in a world where people with supernatural abilities called “quirks” are commonplace, the story follows the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he grows up with his friends at the prestigious hero training school, U.A. High School, in order to become a hero who can stand up to the “villains” who misuse their “quirks.” The original series, which was serialized for about 10 years, will reach its conclusion in August 2024.

The first season of the TV anime series began in April 2016, with the seventh season, the latest series, airing in May 2024. The first film, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, was released in August 2018, and the fourth film, My Hero Academia: Your Next, is now in theaters since August 2nd, three years after the first film.

Heroes such as Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Ochaco Uraraka will be appearing with new merchandise at the “My Hero Academia POP UP SHOP in OIOI,” which will be held at five locations nationwide, including Shinjuku Marui Annex.

The tour will take place at Shinjuku Marui Annex, Sapporo Factory (Sapporo, Hokkaido), SMARK Isesaki (Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture), Kobe Marui, and Hakata Marui from October 5th to January 13th, 2025, with each venue running for around two weeks.

There is also a wide lineup of new merchandise. In addition to trading items such as “trading tin badges” and “trading acrylic key chains,” there are also the classic “acrylic stands” for collections, “tote bags” that are convenient for everyday use, and “large cloth posters” that are perfect for room interior decoration.

New merchandise in collaboration with Godzilla has also been announced, including trading items and acrylic key chains, all of which are cute items featuring deformed versions of the heroes and monsters.

At the “My Hero Academia POP UP SHOP in OIOI,” customers who purchase related goods for 3,000 yen or more (tax included) will receive one random “original card” (6 types in total) as a bonus.
