“Detective Conan” is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama that has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” since 1994 and celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2024. The story follows the protagonist, Conan Edogawa, who looks like a first-grader but is actually a high school detective named Shinichi Kudo, as he pursues the Black Organization that gave him a poison that would shrink his body and takes on a number of difficult cases.
The anime began broadcasting as a TV series in 1996, and a movie version was released in 1997. In April 2024, the 27th movie, “Detective Conan: The Million Dollar Five-Pointed Star,” was released, depicting a “decisive treasure battle mystery” set in Hakodate, Hokkaido.

The gathering takes place at the home of the magicians’ master, Mr. Masakage, who has been missing for exactly 10 years.
Just as they are helping Mr. Masakage’s wife and finishing making dinner, a sudden power outage occurs. When they turn on the breaker, they find a female magician bleeding to death at the end of the second floor corridor. Just before she was killed, she said that she wanted to do a magic trick titled “Witch Resurrection” as the highlight of her show… In the background of the murder, the master’s joke book, “Masakage Notebook,” is lurking. Could the culprit’s goal be something related to that notebook?
