The synopsis and preview cuts for episode 2, “Neither a Friend nor a Slime,” of the fall anime “Puniru is a Cute Slime,” which will air on Sunday, October 13, 2024, have been released.
“Puniru is a Cute Slime” is a love comedy based on the manga by Maeda-kun, which has been serialized as an original work on the web comic distribution site “Weekly CoroCoro Comic” since its launch.
The story begins when Puniru, a slime created by the main character Kotaro, transforms into an incredibly beautiful girl, and due to the characteristics of her body being a slime, Puniru’s new heroine image is attracting attention as she cutely transforms into various forms such as an adult, a gal, an elementary school student, a bad boy, a prince, and even a giant.
The series has gained popularity for its never-ending laughter in daily life with a slime and its love comedy about childhood friends Kotaro and Puniru, with the original manga reaching over 3.5 million pageviews in Weekly CoroCoro Comic two months after it began serialization. After that, in August 2022, it won fourth place in the Web Manga category at the Next Manga Awards 2022, just four months after it began serialization. As of September 2024, the series’ cumulative pageviews have exceeded 22 million, showing no signs of slowing down.
Episode 2: “Neither a Friend nor a Slime” Synopsis
Asami Kirara is the school’s Madonna, with her gentle demeanor that makes her seem like a virgin. Kotaro asks Puniru to transform into a “certain form” to attract her attention.
However, when Mica-senpai saw this, her behavior became strange…
Meanwhile, science teacher Dr. Mado was secretly plotting to use Puniru as research material for his own ambitions.
The second episode of “Puniru is a Cute Slime”, “Neither a Friend nor a Slime”, will begin airing on TV Tokyo affiliates from Sunday, October 13th.
