Two new flight jackets have been released as a collaboration between “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” and military fashion brand “ALPHA INDUSTRIES.” Along with cut-and-sew items that can be coordinated together, they are available for preorder at “STRICT-G” on Bandai Namco Group’s official online store “Premium Bandai.”
Mobile Suit Gundam UC is an anime based on a novel by Harutoshi Fukui that has been published since 2007.
The year is Universal Century 0096, three years after “Char’s Rebellion.” Banagher, a boy living in Industrial 7, accidentally meets Audrey Burne, also known as Mineva Zabi, and becomes embroiled in a battle between various forces over “Laplace’s Box.” The Unicorn Gundam, which is the key to the story, is also a highlight.
ALPHA INDUSTRIES, a military brand founded in 1959, has not only been a leading supplier to the U.S. military, but has also established itself as a pioneer in designing cutting-edge items. Among them, the representative flight jacket “MA-1” is supported by many fans. The MA-1, which is the base of this product, and the MA-1 NATUS, feature unique details such as a placket inside the zipper to increase heat retention and a cigarette pocket on the sleeve.
As part of this collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam UC, the MA-1NATUS “Banagher Links Model” features coloring inspired by Banagher Links’ costume in the series, and an emblem patch on the front and right sleeve to create a unique look. This is a special collaboration product that also incorporates military elements.
The “Marida Cruz Model” MA-1 jacket is inspired by Marida Cruz, with the coloring reminiscent of the Kshatriya she pilots, and the emblem patch on the front and right sleeve to create a unique look. The lining color is inspired by Marida Cruz, and the jacket has a reversible zipper so it can be worn reversibly.
In addition to the flight jackets, cut-and-sew items that can be worn together are also available. There are six types available: two logo T-shirts worn in the original illustrations of Banagher Links and Marida Cruz, two T-shirts with the Unicorn Gundam and Kshatriya motifs, and two zip-up hoodies. Each product from the collaboration between “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” and “ALPHA INDUSTRIES” is available for pre-order at “STRICT-G” within “Premium Bandai”. General sales will follow at a later date. In addition, purchasers of the “STRICT-G ALPHA MA-1 NATUS “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” Banagher Links Model” and “STRICT-G ALPHA MA-1 “Mobile Suit Gundam UC” Marida Cruz Model” will receive one item with an original illustration and an acrylic stand of the corresponding character for each item.
