ABEMA, the new TV of the future, will begin offering a new plan, “ABEMA Premium with Ads,” on October 11, 2024. As a result, the content available on ABEMA Premium will be further expanded, and the price of ABEMA Premium will be revised on November 26.
Since its launch in April 2016, “ABEMA” has been a video streaming service aiming to innovate television by promoting itself as “the new television of the future.” It is free to use and does not require registration, and it broadcasts about 25 channels in a wide variety of genres, including a 24-hour news channel, original dramas, romance shows, anime, and sports, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
It boasts the largest number of original episodes of any domestic video service in Japan, and offers a rich lineup of content, including notable new movies, popular dramas from Japan and abroad, and popular anime. Content can be viewed at any time, whether on TV or on demand.
The newly launched “ABEMA Premium with Ads” is a new plan that allows users to watch over 40,000 “ABEMA Premium” exclusive contents with ads at the affordable price of 580 yen (tax included) per month. In addition to being able to use “ABEMA” services more easily and freely to suit their lifestyle, users can enjoy “ABEMA Premium” exclusive contents whenever and as many times as they like. In addition
to continuing to enjoy all content without ads, “ABEMA Premium” also allows users to use all of “ABEMA”‘s functions, such as “catch-up playback,” “video download function,” and “missed program comment function.”
In addition, ABEMA will gradually expand the content available on ABEMA Premium and ABEMA Premium with Ads. It has been decided that ABEMA Premium will pre-release more than 15 new anime titles for the fall of 2024, including the popular anime film “Crayon Shin-chan: The Movie: Supernatural Battle – Tobe Tobe Hand-rolled Sushi” and the “Monogatari” series.
Other programs in the lineup include Major League Baseball (MLB), where Shohei Ohtani’s performance is attracting attention, notable fighting matches, ABEMA’s original dramas “Transparent Us,” “Informa – Beasts Living in the Darkness,” and “Metropolitan Police Department Narcotics Control Division MOGURA,” the popular variety shows “Chance Time” and “Love’s Hyena,” the romance reality show series “Don’t Fall in Love with the Wolves,” and the “I Fell in Love Today” series.
In addition to popular anime, various matches, and catch-up broadcasts of regular programs, you can enjoy a wide range of content at any time, including shogi and mahjong games and content that are exclusive to “ABEMA Premium.” In the future, the number of exclusive “ABEMA Premium” and “ABEMA Premium with Ads” content in various genres will continue to increase.
