The all-new TV anime “Ranma 1/2” has collaborated with the convenience store “Lawson.” Customers will receive merchandise when they purchase designated products, and Lawson stores are holding a project to sell original food and merchandise.
“Ranma 1/2” was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” from issue 36 in 1987 to issue 12 in 1996 by Rumiko Takahashi, who is also known for “Urusei Yatsura,” “Maison Ikkoku,” “Inuyasha,” “Rin-ne,” and “MAO,” and is a fighting romantic comedy that continues to enjoy immense popularity today.
The story begins when Saotome Genma and his son Ranma, who had been training in China, come to the Tendo family. However, what appears there is a giant panda and a cute girl. After training in China, Ranma has a strange constitution that turns him into a woman when he is splashed with water, and turns him back into a man when he is splashed with hot water. Ranma and his friends get involved with the unique people around them, and they cry, laugh, and sometimes fall in love.
To celebrate the completely new anime adaptation of “Ranma 1/2”, Lawson is holding a collaboration project. During the period until October 28th, if you purchase three eligible sweets, you will receive an original sheet on a first-come, first-served basis, and the number of sheets is limited. There
are six designs in total, and the designs feature mini character illustrations of Ranma & Ranma, Akane, Shampoo, Ryoga, and each character.
In addition, between November 5th and November 18th, if you purchase two of the designated energy drinks, you will also receive an original badge on a first-come, first-served basis and in limited quantities. There are five designs in total: Ranma, Akane, Ryoga, and Shampoo.
In addition, Meiji’s chocolate “Garbo Chocolate Pocket Pack” series will be released in a limited collaboration package. It comes in three flavors: regular chocolate, crushed strawberry, and bitter black. Each flavor comes with one of two hologram pair cards.
Also on sale is Asahimatsu’s “Chinese-style Egg Soup Vermicelli,” which includes one sticker with all seven designs.
The multi-copy machine installed in the store sells original stickers in L and 2L sizes. Print them out in the size you like.
In addition, @Loppi and HMV&BOOKS online are accepting reservations for limited original goods. The lineup includes Lawson’s unique Karaage-kun stuffed toys of Ranma, Ryoga, and Shampoo, as well as hair bands, face towels, and spa bags.
There are also plenty of tableware items, such as gyoza plates with shampoo designs that make gyoza taste delicious, cooling glasses with changing patterns, and frosted bottles with graduations. All items will be available for collection from May 1, 2025.
Also, from November 5th, original goods will be available for purchase at @Loppi, HMV&BOOKS online, and at Lawson stores.
Cute die-cut stickers and bandages with mini character illustrations will be available.
The “Wafer Collection Box” is scheduled to go on sale from December 20th. Details will be announced at a later date, so please look forward to the latest information.
Additionally, Lawson Official X (formerly Twitter) is running a lottery where one lucky winner will win an original QUO card worth 10,000 yen. The lottery will run in two parts, the first part until October 21st, and the second part from November 5th to November 11th.
Lawson’s TV anime “Ranma 1/2” project is currently being held at Lawson stores nationwide (excluding some stores, Natural Lawson, and Lawson Store 100).
