A cafe themed on the Shibuya Incident from the second season of the TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen, called Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe 2024 Shibuya Incident, will open for a limited time from October 31, 2024 in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a dark fantasy manga by Gege Akutami that ended its six-and-a-half-year run with the September 30, 2024 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. The story begins when a powerful “cursed object” is unsealed, and high school student Yuji Itadori enters a world of battles surrounding curses. The manga has 27 volumes, with volume 0 currently on sale as Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School.
The anime series began with the first season, which aired from October 2020 to March 2021. The prequel film, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, was released in December 2021 and became a huge hit, grossing 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season, Kaigyoku: Tamaori
/Shibuya Incident, will air from July to December 2023. Going forward, a sequel to the TV anime, Shimetsu Kaiyu, will be produced, and a compilation film of the second season, Kaigyoku: Tamaori, will be released in 2025.
At the newly-announced “Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe 2024 Shibuya Incident,” new illustrations of winter attire will be featured. These illustrations will be used on special bonuses and original goods.
The cafe menu features a variety of carefully crafted food, desserts, drinks, and other items inspired by memorable scenes and characters from the series.
The food items, such as “Itadori Yuji’s Black Flash Burger,” “Fushiguro Megumi’s Gather Around the World’s Escape Parfait,” and “Gojo Satoru’s 0.2 Second Domain Deployment,” are based on the image of each character’s techniques and domain deployment and incorporated into the menu.
Other hearty menu items include “Kugisaki Nobara’s ‘Kyoumeiri’ Roast Beef,” which is accented with edible rose flowers and petals to give it a wild rose feel, and “Nanami Kento’s 7:3 Caskute,” a peanut sauce-flavored chicken sandwich.
Drinks will be provided in colors that perfectly match each character, such as “Gojo Satoru’s Blue Lactic Acid Drink” and “Nanami Kento’s Hot Ginger Tea.”
In addition, the Fruit Oolong “Tumbler Bottle Drink” is topped with ingredients in the character colors of Itadori, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki, and you can take the tumbler home with you.
With each drink order, you will receive an original paper coaster at random, so enjoy it with your food.
The original goods using the new illustrations include randomly produced can badges and acrylic key chains, acrylic stands with a choice of characters, acrylic stirrers, and postcard sets.
The lineup also includes cute designs of mini characters.
Each item can be purchased online, and for every 3,300 yen (tax included) you spend, you will receive a random mini card from a total of six types.
There are also plenty of other benefits. If you make a reservation in advance for this cafe, you will receive a slider pouch, and if you bring the repeat bonus card from the previous “Jujutsu Kaisen Cafe 2024 The Movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0”, you will receive another card.
