It has been announced that MAPPA’s original TV anime “Zenshu.” will begin airing in January 2025. Along with this, a second teaser PV has been released, which has a completely different impression from the previous teaser PV.

“Zenshu” is a story about 22-year-old anime director and animator, Natsuko Hirose, who became an animator after graduating from high school, quickly made her directorial debut with her talent blossoming, and her first directorial work became a huge hit that became a social phenomenon. She is praised by the public as a promising and talented director, and her next work has been decided to be a theatrical romantic comedy about first love. However, Natsuko has never fallen in love, so she does not really understand first love, and she is unable to draw a storyboard and the film production comes to a standstill.

The title of the film, “Zenshu,” refers to a term in the anime industry that means “to fix everything” or “all retakes.” It also appears in one of the memorable lines of the film’s protagonist, Hirose Natsuko, played by Nagase Anna.
The main staff includes director Yamazaki Mitsue (the kanji for 崎 is pronounced “tatsusaki”; the same below), screenwriter Ueno Kimiko, character designer Tsujino Yoshiteru, character designer Ishikawa Kayoko, and production by MAPPA.

The second teaser PV, which was released along with the announcement of the broadcast start date, is titled “The Perishing Story PV” and contains content that is completely different from the previous teaser PV.

It has been revealed that “The Perishing Story” is a film within a play, and I am curious to see how it will appear in the story.
