It has been announced that the novel “I am the Evil Lord of an Interstellar Nation!” will be adapted into a TV anime and will be broadcast on 24 ABC TV and TV Asahi affiliated stations nationwide in the “ANiMAZiNG!!!” time slot starting in April 2025. In conjunction with this, a teaser visual and promotional video have been released. The appearance of Natsuki Hanae, Reina Ueda, and Takehito Koyasu as cast members has also been announced, and their comments have arrived.
“I’m the Evil Lord of an Interstellar Nation!” is a novel by Mishima Yomu that was serialized on “Let’s Become a Novelist” and published by “Overlap Bunko”, with a total circulation of over 900,000 copies (print and digital). Volumes 1 to 8 of the original novel are currently on sale, with the latest volume 9 set to be released on October 25, 2024.
The comic book adaptation is also serialized in “Comic Gardo”, with volumes 1 to 6 currently on sale in “Gard Comics”, and the latest volume 7 will be released on October 25, the same day as the novel version.
The protagonist of this work is Liam, a reincarnated man who was born into an earl’s family that governed the outskirts of the interstellar nation of the Algrand Empire and became head of the family at a young age. Reflecting on his past life, in which he was constantly robbed because of his kindness, he decides to become an “evil lord” who takes from the people and oppresses them.
Since this is a sci-fi world, Liam wants to ride a robot, master the strongest swordsmanship, behave arrogantly, and eventually create a harem and enjoy a drunken orgy… Liam behaves like an “evil lord” in his own way. However, for some reason, the people are grateful to him and his popularity keeps rising…!?
Set in an interstellar nation with magic and robots, this is a super-galactic scale tale of misguided territory management.
This time, it has been decided that this work will be made into a TV anime. Along with the announcement, a teaser visual was released that shows Liam, who behaves like an “evil lord,” Amagi, the AI maid robot who serves Liam, and the large mobile knight “BFC-X001LS Avid.”
The cast members who will play the main characters were also announced, with Natsuki Hanae playing Liam Serra Banfield.
In the Empire, AI is considered to be “abominable,” but the AI maid robot Amagi, who is trusted by Liam, is played by Reina Ueda. Amagi has extremely high specs and is capable of everything from governing the territory to directing battles.
The role of the Guide, the mysterious being who reincarnated Liam, will be played by Takehito Koyasu. He feeds on negative emotions such as anger, hatred, and sadness, and operates in the shadows in search of even greater negative emotions. Each cast member has also provided comments.
