It has been announced that the TV anime “Salaryman Goes to Another World and Becomes One of the Four Heavenly Kings” will be broadcast on TOKYO MX and BS11 from January 2025. The latest promotional video and key visuals have been released. Additional cast members such as Takanori Hoshino, Nene Hieda, Chitose Morinaga, and Ayafumi Tsukui, as well as the opening and ending artists, have also been announced.
“The Story of a Salaryman Who Traveled to Another World and Became One of the Four Heavenly Kings” is a tale of a salaryman’s transfer to another world, based on a manga written by Benigashira and illustrated by Muramitsu, which is currently being serialized on the web comic distribution site “Comic Gardo”, and has sold over 400,000 copies in total in both paper and digital versions.
The story follows Uchimura Dennosuke, a salaryman who works hard in the modern world but is not appreciated and treated poorly. He is scouted by one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon King’s army, and uses the knowledge and experience he gained from his time as a salaryman to face various challenges in another world.
This new information was announced during the special program “10th Anniversary Memorial Festival! Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering SP Part 5,” broadcast live on ABEMA. The second latest promotional video was also released, revealing many new scenes and additional cast members. Hoshino Takanori will play Sylphid, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Demon King’s army and an expert in magical techniques, while Hieda Nene will play Genome, another of the Four Heavenly Kings and the leader of a unit made up of demi-humans.
Additionally, Morinaga Chitose will play Oruru, the daughter of the Ogre tribe’s chief, and Tsukui Ayafumi will play Neia, the mysterious girl who comes to Uchimura for help. The second key visual featuring the four heavenly kings of the Demon King’s army has also been unveiled, raising expectations for their exploits.
In addition, it was revealed that the opening theme song will be “Isekai Kyousou” by Kentaro Seino, and the ending theme song will be “Tsuyo Girlfriend” by otonari. Both artists have also provided comments. The sound source was unveiled for the first time in the latest PV, so be sure to listen to it.
