It has been announced that the first cour of the fourth and final season of the TV anime “Dr.STONE”, “Dr.STONE SCIENCE FUTURE”, will begin airing in January 2025. In conjunction with this, a super teaser PV has been released, which also shows new footage from the first cour of the final season.
“Dr. Stone” is a TV anime set thousands of years in the future after a mysterious phenomenon suddenly occurs that turns all of humanity to stone in an instant. It depicts the adventures of Senku, a young scientist with a superhuman intellect who awakens in the world and challenges the Stone World, a place where civilization has been destroyed, with the power of his genius science.
The original manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Boichi, was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from issue 14 of 2017 to issue 14 of 2022. It won second place in the comics category of the Next Manga Awards 2018 and the Shogakukan Manga Award in the boys’ category. The comics have sold over 18 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime began airing in July 2019, with the second season beginning in 2021. A TV special was released in 2022, and the third season will be split into two cours in 2023. It has been revealed that the fourth and final season, “Dr. Stone Science Future,” will be split into three cours, attracting a great deal of attention, including becoming a trending topic on social media.
It has now been decided that the first season of this series will begin airing in January 2025, and a super teaser PV has been released to coincide with this. The video
depicts Senku and his friends as they overcome countless difficulties in the Stone World and grow up, carrying the childhood dream of going into space and the hopes entrusted to them by their father, Byakuya Ishigami, who has crossed time and space. The video is set to the song “One Small Step” from the series and depicts the emotional story of Senku and his friends as they overcome countless difficulties and grow up in the Stone World.
At the end of the video, a new scene was unveiled, showing Senku’s intense gaze, as he is determined to save all 7.8 billion people on Earth who have been turned to stone.
