The second musical based on the manga “Tokyo Revengers”, “Musical ‘Tokyo Revengers’ #2 Bloody Halloween” will be performed in Tokyo and Kyoto from March to April 2025. The key visuals and character visuals have now been released.
“Tokyo Revengers” is a time-leap suspense manga by Ken Wakui that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” from 2017 to 2022 and won the Shonen category of the “44th Kodansha Manga Award.” It depicts Takemichi, a former delinquent whose “prime time was in junior high school,” who travels back in time 12 years after the death of the only girlfriend he had in his life during his junior high school days, and who seeks revenge on his life.
Not only has it been made into a TV anime titled “Tokyo Revengers,” but it has also been made into a live-action film, a stage play, and other content, and a sequel to the TV anime has been decided. In addition, the launch of a new project called “Fairy Tale Revengers” and the implementation of a project to commemorate the anime’s 5th anniversary in 2025 have also been announced.
This is the second installment of the “Musical Tokyo Revengers” series, and just like the previous work, it is directed by Kaori Miura and written and lyricist Mukku Akazawa. The music is by manzo and TAKA, and the choreography is by Shoji Toyama (Umebou) and Yasutomo, who is participating for the first time.
Additionally, Ryohei Takenaka will play the main character Takemichi Hanagaki, Ryo Kitamura will play Manjiro Sano, and Ikumi Isaka will play Ken Ryuguji, continuing to lead the company from the first installment. Additionally, new cast members include Takashi Sasaki as Shinichiro Sano, Raima Hiramatsu as Tetta Kisaki, and Riria Ito (Nogizaka46) as Hinata Tachibana.
The newly released key visual features all the cast members, including Suzuki Shogo as Baji Keisuke, Kishimoto Yuuta as Hanemiya Kazutora, and Sato Ryuji as Matsuno Chifuyu, who also appeared in the teaser visuals, as well as Takenaka Ryohei as the main character Hanagaki Takemichi, and Kitamura Ryo as Sano Manjiro, whose new visuals have been announced.
Character visuals were also unveiled for Takenaka Ryohei as the protagonist Hanagaki Takemichi, Kitamura Ryo as Sano Manjiro, Isaka Ikumi as Ryuguji Ken, Sakayori Fuuta as Mitsuya Takashi, Kouki as Hayashida Haruki, Kubo Yudai as Sendou Atsushi, Isono Dai as Hanma Shuji, and Sato Nobunaga as Tachibana Naoto, who will continue to appear
in the previous work. Character visuals for new cast members Sasaki Takashi as Sano Shinichiro, Hiramatsu Raima as Kisaki Tetsuta, and Ito Riria (Nogizaka 46) as Tachibana Hinata were also released, completing the full cast.
