It has been announced that the light novel “I ended up marrying the girl I hate the most in my class.” will be broadcast from January 2025. The first PV has been released along with this announcement. The appearance of new cast members Suzushiro Sayumi, Hieda Nene, Otsuka Yoshitada, and Hirano Aya has also been announced, and their handwritten comments about their enthusiasm have arrived.
“Kurakon,” or “I ended up marrying the girl I hated the most in my class,” is a romantic comedy based on the original story by Amano Seiju, with original illustrations by Narumi Nanami, and character designs by Narumi Tomosukonbu. The story
follows the heart-warming married life of the two, who seem like they could be honest with each other but can’t, as high school student Hojo Saito marries Sakuramori Akane, a female classmate who is his biggest weakness and his nemesis, due to an unexpected turn of events.
The original light novel is currently on sale up to volume 9 from “MF Bunko J”. The comic version has been published up to volume 5 from “Kadokawa Comics Ace”, and the latest volume 6 will be released on September 25, 2024.
The first trailer has finally revealed the characters moving in animation. It not only shows Saito and Akane, who have suddenly decided to get married, but also features other unique characters such as Himari and Ito Ao, making it a trailer that is full of the charm of “Kurakon.”
The PV also includes a portion of the film’s ending theme, “Overtaking Love and Hatred,” sung by Sakuramori Akane (voiced by Yano Hinaki).
Cast information was also released: Akane’s best friend Ishikura Himari will be played by Suzushiro Sayumi, Saito’s cousin Hojo Itosei will be played by Hieda Nene, Saito’s grandfather Hojo Tenryu will be played by Otsuka Yoshitada, and Akane’s grandmother Sakuramori Chiyo will be played by Hirano Aya.
Comments from each cast member have also arrived. They are handwritten, and the “wedding announcement-style” enthusiasm that begins with a “report” unique to a work that is about marriage is a must-see.
The TV anime “I Ended Up Marrying the Girl I Hate in My Class” will begin airing in January 2025.

In a story that involves friends and family in an unexpected married life, the thoughts and feelings of all the characters are put into this song. With a melody that evokes
nostalgia, I was conscious of developing the song in a way that would empathize with the joy, anxiety, and conflict that each character is feeling. It is a song that leaves you with a sense of kindness and warmth at the end, allowing you to empathize with the feelings of each character, so I hope you will listen to it while empathizing with each character!
